Just a quickie!
Categories: A Daughter's Love for Her Mother, family, life, love, travel, weather
I’ve been sick with a migraine for most of the day, but I wanted to come online and check my stuff quick.. so I thought I’d post a blog quick to say THANK YOU to Jess for donating to A Daughter’s Love for Her Mother.
It means so much to me!
I’m going to be heading out to Mom & Dad’s house tomorrow, actually, because apparently a snowstorm is coming on Saturday. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to post a quick update tomorrow after my interview, but before I leave for Mom & Dad’s. If not, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
PS: Nick’s interview went well, so we’re hoping for the best! Thanks everyone for your good luck wishes!
Christmas is coming..
And my pockets are nearly empty. Being unemployed for two months does that to a person. However, thanks to an awesome site I found, I should be able to find a good deal on the digital camera my mom wants for Christmas. The site is SO easy to use; just type in what you’re looking for, and hit “Go Find”! They even have a feature where you can enter the price you want to pay, and they’ll let you know when they find the item at that price! How convenient is that? Nothing is better than naming your own price, if you ask me.
I’m definitely going to be bookmarking this site.. they found amazing prices on the Nintendo DS that *I* want for Christmas — hopefully Nick picks up the hint, right?
Up, up, up!
Good news! I have an interview at a local bank on Friday at 11AM. I’m super excited!
I’ve wanted to get out of retail, and this is my chance. Plus, I’m really looking forward to going back to work. Being home all the time just isn’t.. satisfying.
Oh, and Nick has an interview Thursday at 3:30PM for a better paying job. He’s currently working two “ok-paying” jobs, which works for now, but he’d like a change. I’m hoping we both do well with our interviews!
I discovered something tonight. I would rather read than watch TV. Is that weird?
Anyway.. I’ll post more later/tomorrow/or something. I just figured I better give everyone a quick update! I’m so glad things are looking up around here..
PS: I’m getting ready to write out my Christmas cards, so if you’d like one, e-mail me your address! ♥
PermalinkI love taking showers.

I just wish our shower had two taps — Nick and I love to shower together, but it’s hard to share the water equally. Especially since I’m a girl with long, thick hair and it takes me forever to rinse out the shampoo. He usually whines that he’s cold while I’m making sure I don’t have any shampoo residue.
It must be nice to be a boy. All you have to do is stick your head under the water, rub your hair with shampoo, and rinse. My hair is SO hard to wash — it’s so thick, and long, that it takes me quite a while. I wish it were as simple for me as it is for Nick.
I also wish we could decorate our bathroom here at the apartment. Don’t get me wrong, we probably could, but we’d have to repaint it and everything before we moved out. It just seems like it’d be an awful lot of work. I really wanted to do a Finding Nemo theme, but it’s so hard to find cute stuff that isn’t insanely expensive. I guess we’ll see. I just want to make this new apartment more homey.
Do you have a themed bathroom? Or any room in your home/apartment? If so, what is it?
PermalinkTweak, tweak..

I’m working on the site a little. I’m trying to add some things to it, so there’s more for you, the visitor, to do.
Please comment with any suggestions you may have! I want to make this more than just a “Today I.. blahblahblah” blog. You know what I mean?
