OMFG.
It’s been a rough day.
Nick lost our house keys, and he was nearly late to work because of it.
Then I deleted my entire website. It took me about 3 hours to figure out how to get it back.
OMFG.
I’m going to Mom & Dad’s. Enough of this.
A Daughter’s Love for Her Mother
Categories: A Daughter's Love for Her Mother

So.. it’s been a while since I talked about my project, A Daughter’s Love for Her Mother. Why? I feel weird asking people for help. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the wonderful people who have donated, and it means a lot to me. Though my parents are still struggling to pay their bills, every little bit helps. So far I’ve raised $55. I’d like to raise more, but I just don’t know how to spread the word without pushing too hard and making it overwhelming to people. When I was doing paid blogging, I was going to give my mom that money to help her as well, but I ended up needing it myself. And now the opportunities for paid blogging have disappeared (as my Google rank is now 0.. thanks, meanies..
).
No, this isn’t the small project I’ve been working on. A Daughter’s Love for Her Mother has been on the back burner, because I feel awful asking for help. I figure if someone can help, and they just happen to stumble across the site and visit that page, then they will. Otherwise, I leave it be. I don’t know. Maybe I’m losing hope because I feel like I’m not doing enough for my mom. I just don’t know what else to do.
PermalinkOh Wisconsin, how I love you. (NOT!)
You know it’s cold when…
- Every school within a 50 mile radius of me is closed due to WIND CHILL. (It’s like -45 or something!)
- Every school within a 50 mile radius of me was closed yesterday because of a winter storm that brought ice and snow. And nasty roads. Nick actually called into work.
- You want to wear gloves while you’re typing. I’ve successfully stolen one of Nick’s sweatshirts. I’m also wearing flannel PJ pants and slipper socks.
Oh, Wisconsin, how I loathe you. If I could drag my family and friends with me, I would move someplace warm STAT.
PermalinkQuick Question
Does it bother anybody that my pages open up on the very bottom? I’m just wondering, because if so, I’d like to put up a new theme. Please let me know what you think! (Or how I could fix this!)
EDIT on January 30th: Okay, good to know I’m not driving everyone insane!
Although the Submit button seems to be an issue. I have no idea how to fix it, and I’ve tried like 8 million times. I’ll see what I can do though. If anyone has any idea, let me know!
By the way, I’m working on a bit of a project, so that’s why I haven’t been blogging quite as frequently. Hopefully I’ll be done with it soon, though!
PermalinkBruises and Build-a-Bear Workshops
Haha, what an odd title for a post. But seriously. That’s what my past few days have consisted of. Actually, the day before my last post I ended up in the ER with a migraine that was beyond horrible. They put me on an IV (which kicked in immediately; man, was I woozy!), and I was in and out of consciousness until the migraine finally went away. Thank goodness for that. Well, since my veins are so tiny, they had a hard time finding a place to stick the IV, and they bruised the one vein they used.
It looks like it was incredibly painful, and let me tell you, it was. I think I forgot my head hurt momentarily because my arm hurt so f’ing bad. LOL.
Nick and I decided on a spontaneous road trip yesterday in celebration of our 10 month anniversary (which was actually Friday, but he worked so we had to wait to celebrate). We drove 100+ miles to a mall I’d never been to, and had fun browsing through all the stores. It was really cool.

Nick built me a puppy at the Build-a-Bear Workshop.. he’s SO cute.
We were going to eat dinner at Red Lobster, but there was a 90 minute wait line. Needless to say, we didn’t want to wait that long; we were hungry! So we decided on Chili’s instead. It wasn’t seafood, but it was good.
It was a fun road trip. We got lost for a few minutes on the way down, but found our way home just fine. We listened to Sweeney Todd’s soundtrack most of the way. LOVE that CD!
Oh, and I had an interview at the bookstore today. I’m thinking it went well, but I don’t want to jinx it. Here’s to hoping I’ll have a job soon!
