Eep!

It’s so odd that when I didn’t have a job, I had more to blog about than I do now. I feel awful neglecting the site, but I’ve just been trying REALLY hard to do well at this job. I’m still working on getting into the whole 2nd shift schedule; it’s been hard! (Especially since next week I have two 7am-3pm days. WTF?! lol)

I hope everyone is doing well. I’m still waiting to see how much money I can give my mom out of my paycheck to help with her bills. I really hope I can give her at least $100. :[

Life's been going well.. Nick and I have been wonderful, although this month seems to have been bumpy on everyone's relationship.. we had a bit of an "awkward" discussion earlier this month, but things have since cleared up.

Where has February gone?! I can't wait until Spring. I HATE THIS SNOW!@$%

Anyway, I promise I'll try to start blogging more frequently now. I miss my site, and I don't want to lose the beloved friends and visitors I have! :]

Working like crazy!

This is my first full-time job, so I’m trying to get accustomed to the whole.. 8 hours a day, 5 days a week thing. But it’s going well so far. As I said before, I love it there. The environment is wonderful, my co-workers are friendly, and it’s just a great place. Hopefully it’ll remain that way.. lol!

Let’s see.. what else to talk about.. well, my mom called me crying the other night because their bills are stacking up, and they’re actually thinking about taking my mom to court over it. Needless to say, she’s scared out of her mind. So any bit of help would be VERY much appreciated; I’m going to give her as much of my paycheck as possible, but if you’d like to donate too, I’d love you VERY much! My PayPal address is shown on the left sidebar. (It’s the same as my contact address.) A dollar, fifty cents, whatever.. I just want to help my mom as much as I can. Oh, and I forgot to add that Amber donated recently as well. Thanks so much, hun! It means a lot.

Well, I have to get going. After work tonight I’m driving to Mom&Dad’s. I’m going to visit them for the first time in a couple of weeks.. I miss them TONS! So hopefully that drive goes well (since I don’t get off of work until 11pm.. lol, oh well).

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well, and I promise I’m going to start commenting on everyone’s blogs again.. I’ve just been SO busy lately! *hugs to everyone* Take care, and have a great weekend!

I’m still alive!

Sorry I went MIA, I’ve just been quite busy with work lately. It’s going pretty well; I’ve learned a lot the past couple of days. There’s still a lot more to go, though.

The hotel is crazy-booked this weekend. We have 230 rooms, and ALL of them are taken. There are a LOT of kids (there’s a basketball tournament or something like that), and a lot of tourists. The tourists are here for the long weekend, because the local ski hill does packages through us (where the lift tickets, hotel room, etc is all included). I’m not complaining; the busier it is, the faster my shift goes! I really enjoy it. Well, for the most part. For a little while I was worried, because I thought I messed something up, but it turned out to be fine.

I really like my management and co-workers. We’re like a family. The whole atmosphere is really friendly.. and I love it!

Anyway, enough about work. Valentine’s Day was pretty good; Nick and I will be celebrating the majority of it this weekend though, because of work schedules and whatnot. But on Valentine’s Day itself, Nick got me a teddy bear holding a picture of us, and a really sweet card. ♥ I got him a 3 month subscription to XBOX Live (just so he can try it out), and a headset for it. Oh, and of course a card. I think we’re going to go out to dinner this weekend.. if both of us feel up to it!

Well, I have to get going… I need to iron my clothes before work. I hope everyone’s week went well!

Okay, so everyone crossing their fingers worked!

I had my interview today at 9AM, they called me at 12PM and told me I got the job, and I started working at 2PM!

I’m now a full-time front desk receptionist at a local hotel!

I’m so happy, I could cry! Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes!

I have to go watch Nip/Tuck now. I might blog later, but I might end up falling asleep.. I’ve been awake since 7:45 this morning, and that’s WAY early for me.

I have an interview tomorrow at 9AM. I just hope this one leads to a job. (Lately I’ve gone to interviews resulting in only those dreaded “We regret to inform you, but..” letters.)

I’ve been trying to find more ways to make money online.. I’ve been selling some of my textbooks I never got the opportunity to use for college on eBay, but it just seems like such a shame to get so little for a book I paid so much for. Either way, something is better than nothing. (I’d post a link to the auctions, but they’re all ended right now anyway.) J mentioned how PPP is being such a pain in the bum.. don’t worry J, they’re sucking for me, too! LOL. Really though.. there’s 140 opportunities, 9 of which I qualify for, but they’re all reserved. WTF. My pagerank has been completely slaughtered for some reason or another (I’ve done everything suggested to get it fixed.. but nothing’s worked so far.. if you have any more ideas.. let me know!), so that’s probably why PPP hates me right now. And don’t even get me started on Smorty. (Though I have made $72 with PPP and $52 with Smorty.)

I’ve been thinking about opening a review site, but I’m not sure yet. Would anyone read it?
